By combining our knowledge and experience from the Bofrost* fleet of 5,000 vehicles and Carlsen’s technical know-how,  it has been possible for the first time  to develop a deep-freeze distribution van in the 3.5 ton class with a working load of more than 1,000 kg, a heat transition coefficient of 0.22 W/m2K and a refrigerator unit noise level of 72 dB(A). Both the body and the refrigeration equipment are marked by high quality and reliability.

Diplom Is is one of Norway’s largest ice-cream producers. They produce and sell brands like Dream and Mövenpick. Diplom Is is a 100% Norwegian company with subsidiaries in Denmark and Sweden. Some of the ice-cream is distributed by our Norwegian sales representatives who drive round to Norwegian consumers and sell directly from the vans.

"At present Carlsen Europa is the supplier that offers the best technical solutions, as the payload of 1000 kg is perfect for us. 3.5 tons vans are ideal as they can get into just about any part of town. Hjem-IS is the largest ice-cream factory in Denmark. The factory is located in Esbjerg, and here ice-cream is developed, produced and marketed to Scandinavia and many parts of Europe. They deliver thoughout Denmark and distribute ice-cream directly to Danish consumers from their blue Hjem-IS vans.

"In close collaboration with Carlsen Europa we have developed a concept specially suited to the requirements of Mat på Jobbet. This has resulted in specially designed vans that offer us the chance to transport both refrigerated and frozen goods in the same vehicle. Today we have nine of these special trucks driving in the greater Stockholm area and in western Skaane (Helsingborg, Lund, Malmø and Landskrona). We take care of day-to-day maintenance of the vans ourselves, but for big repairs and refits we send them to Carlsen in Denmark. We have worked with Carlsen Europa since 1997. Originally, we chose them as suppliers because we found that they give us the best quality, which is something we value very much".
