At Carlsen Europa we are Europe’s leading manufacturer of quality lightweight bodies for 3.5 tons chassis for home deliveries. In close collaboration with you as the customer, we develop refrigerated bodies that meet your specific requirements.
Our focus on quality products and product development has been the distinguishing feature of our company since its founding back in 1885. Since 1929 we have been developing, producing and servicing bodies for the distribution of refrigerated or deep-frozen food. Today, we have more than 3,500 vans on the roads of Europe.
Our headquarter is situated on Funen, Denmark. We have cooperation agreements with service workshops spread across the whole of Europe so you can always get help with operations and maintenance.
History
1885
Carlsen Europa A/S was established by Ole Carlsen. The company was run from a small production workshop in Humlebaek and initially produced horse-drawn vehicles.
1929
The product range was expanded with wooden bodies for refrigerated and frozen goods. Refrigeration was achieved with the help of dry ice and added salt.
1955
Production of the first refrigerated bodies with their own refrigerating equipment.
1967
Production facilities established in Ny Stenderup and production of glass fibre bodies begins.
1997
All operational and development activities are transferred to Carlsen Europa A/S, and the company came under new ownership at the same time. Today Carlsen Europa A/S is owned by Carl Johan Moerck.
Today
Carlsen Europa is Northern Europe’s biggest supplier of top quality 3.5 tons refrigerated bodies.
